2026 Manhattan Tennis Ladder

A flexible, challenge based tennis ladder built for New York City players.

The Manhattan Tennis Ladder is a singles competition where players challenge opponents near their level, schedule matches directly, and move up the rankings through results.

2026 Ladder enrollment opens in February.

There are two divisions:

3.0-4.0 (Intermediate)

4.0+ (Advanced)

The season runs April 20 – September 30, culminating in an October Round of 16 tournament and Finals Sunday chair umpired by a USTA Official at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Queens.

Players compete for cash prizes, sponsored gear, exclusive merchandise, champion’s trophy, and a chance to be crowned on NYC’s top court.

What Is a Tennis Ladder?

A tennis ladder is a ranking system where players are ordered by results. Instead of fixed teams or weekly match times, players issue challenges to opponents close to them on the ladder.

Win, and you move up.
Lose, and you recalibrate.

It’s one of the fairest ways to run competitive tennis and it works especially well in a city like New York.
