Pier 42

Four Free to Play courts on the Lower East Side (opened Oct 2022).

Located at Pier 42 on the East River between the Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges.

Brand new restroom facilities and park entrance opened July 2024 including functional water station.

When players are waiting to play it is a first-come first-served line-up system — add your racket to the end of the line and wait.

Play is limited to 1 hr only unless 4 players are on the court (doubles), in which case up to 2 hrs is allowed.

Be nice, communicate clearly and be mindful of your time if players are waiting.

Difficult to access via public transport (long walk from nearest bus or train).

Easily accessible via bicycle.

Beautiful views of the East River and Brooklyn.

Open all year, 7:00am - 6:00pm/8:00pm (later seasonally).
