Sign up In Season with your NYC Courts Pass daily from 7:00am for one hour ahead. For example, if you wish to play at 5pm you must line up to sign up when the list opens at 4pm for the 5-6pm time slot. You can not sign up for a later-in-the-day slot if you go early. You can however at nearby Central Park Tennis and the Clay at 96th.

Rating (Comments) : 9/10 (Full refurbishments in 2022 make these some of the current best public hard courts in New York) In season very lush peaceful park surroundings, especially pretty in Fall, open All Year. Sign up rules change periodically.

Notes :

During winter months, when the gate is open, no pass is required and when if no sign up sheet is posted it is first come first served.

Total refurbishment completed and reopened summer 2022.

New York Assembly Member Danny O’Donnell provided public reimbursement funds to the Riverside Park Conservancy, which paid $125,000 for the renovations, according to Mark McIntyre, Director of Riverside Tennis Association, a subsidiary of the not-for-profit Conservancy.

Current NYC Parks Dep. Court Pass permits are required to play In Season. Sign ups open 1 hr in advance.

There are water fountains and restroom facilities outside the courts next to the NYC Parks dep office.
